Electrofishing Surveys That Show What Is Really in Your Water
Electrofishing is the most reliable way to see what is living in a pond or lake. A boat or backpack unit sends a controlled electrical field through the water that briefly stuns nearby fish, so our biologists can net them, measure and weigh them, and release them back into the water.
A survey gives you real numbers instead of guesses. We look at the balance between predators like largemouth bass and forage fish like bluegill, growth rates, body condition and how many young fish are being produced. Those results show whether a fishery is healthy, crowded with small fish or short on forage.
The results drive the plan. Depending on what we find, the recommendation may be selective harvest, stocking, supplemental feeding, habitat work, vegetation control or changes to water quality. Repeating surveys on a regular schedule shows whether the management plan is working over time.
We run electrofishing surveys for private pond owners, HOAs, hunting clubs and commercial properties across North Carolina. Call 910.777.9940 or send the form to schedule a survey for your pond or lake.
